Kundapur: Illegal cow trafficking, two escape, four cattle rescued

Kundapur, Aug 15: Shankaranarayan police spotted an Omni car, in which cattle were being transported in an inhumane manner, near Kerjadi Garadi of Albadi village and rescued four cattle. However, the two occupants in the Omni managed to escape.

Police, who stopped the Omni car at around 8 pm on Monday August 13, took into custody the four male calves and handed them over to Neelavar Goshala.

A case is registered at Shankaranarayana police station as per the complaint filed by Satish Shetty, a resident of Albadi.
