Mangaluru: Infant Mary Church Bajjodi celebrates Independence Day, Assumption of Mary feast

Mangaluru, Aug 15: The parishners of the Infant Mary Church Bajjodi, gathered on the occasion of 72 years Independence Day celebration and feast of Assumption of Mary.

The celebration began with the eucharist in church, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony organised by the ICYM members.

The programme was presided over by the chief guest Alphonse Cutinha.

The tricolour flag was unfurled by the chief guest, along with parish priest Fr Ivan D’Souza, assistant priest Fr Patrick Lobo, vice president Joseph Mascarenhas and secretary Irene Pinto.



The National Anthem was sung after hoisting the flag.

The chief guest delivered the message to the gathering on the significance of Independence Day.

The programme was compered by Jewel Fernandes. Jonita and team sang patriotic songs.  Raveena welcomed and thanked the gathering.
