Byndoor: Incessant rain in coast and port area continues its destruction

Byndoor, Aug 15: Incessant rain in the port and coastal region has caused large amount of loss to fishermen and farmers. Six boats and a Persian boat anchored at Alvegadde port, Shirur were capsized. The boats were pulled to the shore by fishermen and locals with great difficulty.

The boats and their engines have been completely damaged. Fishermen's leader said that the loss is estimated to be more than a crore. The incident has caused worries to fishermen who wanted to start fishing in the season.

Three among the boats are Sagara Deepa, another three are Babrihind Prasada. One boat belongs to locals in Shirur. Another boat near Sodigadde here also is damaged.
