Bantwal: Verbal abuse on home guard, rickshaw driver fined

Bantwal, Aug 14: In an incident that occurred on Monday, August 13 on Vittal - Puttur road, an auto rickshaw driver was taken into custody and fined for parking his vehicle on the road and obstructing traffic and abusing the home guard who questioned his action.

The driver of the said auto rickshaw, which was going from Vittal to Ukkuda, was boarding the passengers parking his vehicle in Addadabeedi road. Because of this, the traffic on Vittal main road got disrupted. The home guard, deputed by the Vittal police station, promptly asked the auto rickshaw driver to move his vehicle from the spot. The driver got enraged on the home guard and abused the home guard using filthy language.

Vittal police arrived on the spot and took vehicle and the driver into custody and fined the erring person.

People have appreciated the police for such action as it will teach the people a lesson.
