Hubballi, Aug 13: Chief Justice of India (CJI), Deepak Mishra, has suggested appointing Manager and Facilitator in all district courts to carry out the management of administrative affairs of the court more efficiently and also help in settlement of the cases.

The CJI was speaking after opening the newly built court complex here on Sunday, August 12.

In his Inaugural address, CJI said, "Shortage of funds to provide basic infrastructure for courts cannot be tolerated. A healthy environment needs to be created in order to provide justice. I felt happy on hearing that most of the courts in Karnataka have their own buildings. I congratulate the chief minister of Karnataka for this. Let the work of providing good basic facilities continue."

Speaking on the occasion, chief minister of Karnataka, H D Kumaraswamy said, "State government is committed to ensuring that there is no shortage of grant for providing basic infrastructure and other facilities to the judiciary department. There are around 230 to 240 court complexes, out of which, only 14 or 15 are functioning from the rented facility. These will be provided with their own buildings in near future,”

“During the rule of the coalition government of Congress and JD (S) initiation was done to provide well-equipped court complexes at the taluk and district levels. As strict orders were given by the Chief Justice of the High Court of Karnataka, the work of clearing the flex is being implemented efficiently. The stricter the High Court, the easier will be the administration."
