Mangaluru: Miscreants twist holiday order of DC, confused parents send children to school

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Aug 12: The parents of school going children were at the receiving end due to the sadist act of some miscreants who twisted the holiday order given by Sasikanth Senthil, deputy commissioner (DC) on Saturday, August 11.

The DC had declared a holiday for schools and PU colleges on August 11 due to the incessant rain in the city in the past two days. Some anti-social elements twisted this message saying that the declared holiday is cancelled. The parents and students were utterly confused because of this.

B A Khadar Shah, assistant director of information has brought this to the notice of the DC and has asked to take necessary action against the erring persons.

The press release of the information department mentioned that 'Tomorrow is a holiday for schools and colleges in the district of Dakshina Kannada' and mentioned that the same is authorized by the DC Sasikanth Senthil. Certain vested interests twisted the statement and wrote 'There is no holiday for school and colleges tomorrow in the district of Dakshina Kannada. The holiday is cancelled by the DC.' and made this viral on social sites. Many parents had sent their children to school on Saturday, August 11, owing to this misleading message on social sites.

Some teachers from Bantwal approached the assistant director of the information department and brought this act to his notice.

Whatever the miscommunication is... people are aware that its raining heavily and flooded everywhere.. then why send kids to school... are they writing IAS exams... even if they are writing IAS i would have not sent them for school for 1 or two days.. or if i feel its too much raining and there may be risk... last month one kid lost its life... it was raining continuously from 2 days... floods everywhere.. but still they sent kids to school.. and when returning back.. she slipped and fell to the water way... saad... life is more important than 1 or 2 days of missing school...

There are two lynching deaths in Karnataka state because of this Whatsapp social media platform. Do we need any more example that how sensitive is this issue as we are closing in for Lok Sabha elections?

I request the District Commissioner to handover this case to 'cyber crime'. If today they can cancel holiday tomorrow this can take someone's life.

I request the authority to act tough so that it becomes lesson for others mischievous.

    Feeling sorry for the parents,

Some frustrated people here are grabbing any incident to attach Govt. BJP and Modi, shame on them. They should go and get a lofe first, he is a elected PM of India, even after 2019 be ready to type such hatred, because he is going to come again.

Honestly speaking I enjoy such comments a lot some times I hope Modi should have born before invaders.

    Jobless people are the culprits...
    Some jobless people steal (cows)
Some jobless people beat other people to death
And some jobless people spread fake messages and create all kinds of nuisance.

But main culprits are the people who make them jobless.
