Bengaluru: ‘Do not try to destabilise coalition govt,’ Rahul tells Congress leaders including Siddu

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (DC)

Bengaluru, Aug 12: Former chief minister Siddaramaiah has been asked not to destabilise the Congress-JD(S) coalition government headed by H D Kumaraswamy in the state by Congress president Rahul Gandhi.

According to sources, Rahul during the Congress Working Committee meeting has told Siddaramaiah who is chairman of the co-ordination committee that he should extend full co-operation for the smooth functioning of the government. Siddaramaiah has also been told that though he can hold meetings with ministers and MLAs, it should not give an impression that he is trying to encourage dissident activities.

Rahul reportedly told Siddaramaiah that any issues with the government should be resolved amicably through talks and not by going to the media.

It may be recalled that Siddaraiamah had openly expressed unhappiness over the functioning of the coalition government and also the dinner meetings held with ministers and close confidants recently gave rise to speculation of possible dissident activities.

According to reports the newly appointed Pradesh Congress president Dinesh Gundu Rao and working President Eshwar Khandre too were given the similar message by the national president.

It is learnt that Rahul opines that onus on running the coalition government is on the Congress since it had given unconditional support. Hence he has asked the state leaders not to disrupt or question the state government since the decision to go with the JD(S) was taken at the highest level of the party to prevent the BJP from forming the government.

The high command message comes days after some of the Congress leaders complained that Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy was not heeding the Congress leaders’ advice be it in the allocation of funds or transfer of officials.

Aged experience people are instructed by a young kid who is desperately trying for survival... OMG ! This shows everything is not OK in this Aged party.... fighting on streets/town hall recently is another example...

Seems there is firm commitment for secularism from the high command.
This is how unity can be forged among all secular parties! In loss also there is some gain.
There will be some price to pay, sacrifice part of ones power to accommodate others!
But some day, some one have to take such lead to preserve secularism.

If there is fragmented verdict in elections, formation of alliance of like minded parties to form Govt, is legal and well within constitutional framework.
Whereas prompting the MLA's of a party to defect through money power, muscle power or high handedness, misuse of Govt machinery etc. is corruption, illegal and unethical.

Coalition Government at the initiative of Congress so they must give full support and Rahul ji is right in advising Siddu and Congress Ministers. Unity is strength so they must unite to defeat BJP in 2019 elections in keeping the unity intact.

Former CM Siddu, had lot in his credit, in comparison to BJP's Yeddy Govt., which was ruthlessly corrupt and criminal. He can not still digest the fact that people rejected him, despite giving a clean govt., with excellent development programs, where Karnataka scored better than rest of all state govt's. put together.

People giving higher seats to BJP, have demonstrated, they are short-sighted. Naturally, coalition is a disaster, which people bought on themselves and now cant blame anyone.

Rahul ... and Congress are now foot in mouth . REAL fekus exposed. It is the congressmen themselves who were destabiilizing the government. Why blame any one else then?
Sidhdha lost miserably in Chamundeshwari and just scraped thru in Badam,i. So people have shown him his right value. So long as he is in Congress ,,, he will be only a also rans. Its ideal time that he starts his own party based on Ahinda. Otherwise he will be sweeped to corner as dirt!!
