Kundapur: Elderly couple pass away on the same day

Kundapur, Aug 12: They lived together as husband and wife in this world and left for their heavenly abode also on the same day. This unique incident is reported from Thekkatte near here on August 10.

Belooru Mogebettu Mahabala Acharya (84), retired headmaster of Ultoor Sri Mahalingeshwara aided higher primary school and his wife Lalita Acharya (70) are the couple who were together in life as well as death.

Mahabala Acharya died on the morning of August 10. His wife was in the hospital due to some illness. While she was being brought from the hospital to her home in order to attend the funeral of her husband, she also breathed her last on the way.

Mahabala Acharya was known as a model teacher and has a huge number of students and well-wishers. The couple is survived by five daughters and five sons.
