Puttur: Attack on cattle trafficker at Panja – three arrested

Puttur, Aug 12: Three persons were arrested on Saturday, August 12 for allegedly attacking a cattle trafficker at Panja near Subramanya.

Subramanya police made the arrests.

Chidananda, Sundara and Pavan are the arrested persons. All of them are the residents of Panja.

When a person named Yakub was transporting a cow in his car on the night of August 8, he was stopped at Panja by some people. Police had arrested Yakub after that.

Later Yakub said he was attacked by some persons and lodged a police complaint in this regard.

Police arrested Chidananda, Sundara and Pavan after investigations. Relatives of Sundara have said that he was not at the place of alleged assault on that night.

Al the three arrested persons were produced in Sullia court on Saturday.
