Daijiworld Media Network - Kasargod (MS)

Kasargod, Jul 23: The police have arrested Mohammed Swalibi (67), a resident of Chowki Rahamath Manzil, for physical harassing a lady lawyer in a moving bus.

The lady lawyer was travelling from Kasargod to Mangaluru in the KSRTC bus. Mohammed, who was seated in the seat behind the lady, started to physically harass here. He continued his act even after the lady lawyer warned him.

The bus driver and conductor stopped the bus at Chowki and got Mohammed alighted. The lady lawyer also got down from the bus, approached the police station and registered a complaint.

    @ Ahmed,

    I think you are referring to the following verse of the Quran( regarding parents):

    "And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say no to them ( so much as) "ugh", nor chide them but speak to them in reverent speech".
    "And lower into them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say:
    "My Lord! Bestow on them Your mercy as they did bring me up when I was child."(Quran 17:23,24)

    This verse is almost giving a meaning that the parents may behave childish when they grow old and that the children have to take care of their parents as they took care of you when you were a child.

    But here in this case, 67 years is not such an age that one will start behaving childish. And also what supports my argument is that he seems to be travelling alone ( He was healthy and not childish).

    I am just commenting based upon my thinking and do not want to judge anyone without complete information. Investigation will reveal the truth. I "hope" what you are telling is the truth.

    There is no personal gain for the lady. No form of abuse should be tolerated, irrespective of religion

    @Muhammad,

    Being a Muslim, don't you know what is the punishment for defaming the dignity of a chaste woman?

    Slandering chaste, innocent women is one of the 7 sins that doom a person to hell.
    (Narrated by al-Bukhaari (2767) and Muslim (89). )

    no hell or heaven... ... if you commit crime you should be punished. No need of mixing religion for all the damn things.... keep your faith yourself.

    @Anseema Beary,

    I am not forcing you to follow me or my religion. You can leave it if you don't like. I am not offending anyone by the way.

    If you can instruct me to keep my faith for myself, you also don't have right to give suggestions to me and should keep your valuable suggestions with yourself.

    This is the trustworthy information and proof of this man's unfaithfulness towards his wife....and no due respect towards ladies.
    Good luck Madam, go ahead and show him a proper place. Charbi should be melted with hot goosas by police.
    There are plenty of incidents where ladies keep quiet to take the bold step.

    @Cynthia,

    Yes my sister. You are right.

    But you missed one thing. There is still no proof that he is unfaithful to his wife. You know why? May be he is not married at all ( I know he is 67). Please forget old things.

    God knows since how long he must have been doing that and all along he got away with this. But this time, he set his hands on a wrong person who knew that there a law that punishes such men, that women shouldn't keep quiet when such abuses take place.

    I applaud the lady, and hope that all take a lead from her and report every abuse in public transport or anywhere else.

    @Jossey,

    This is shameless charbi.

    He has to be treated in such a way that the he gets heated to such an extent that his charbi comes out.
    But, this treatment must be given by the law enforcement authorities; not by any other person.
