Mangaluru: ‘Rang Tudar’ organised by Tulu Koota of St Aloysius College

Mangaluru, Jul 22: Tulu Koota association at St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organised a programme “Rang Tudar” on July 21 at Robert Sequeira Hall, LCRI Block. Cine and drama artiste Aravinda Bolar was the chief guest.

Principal Fr Dr Praveen Martis, SJ presided over the programme. A C Bhandari, president, Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy was the guest of honor. The college facilitated Aravind Bolar for his valuable contributions as an actor on the occasion.

Aravind Bolar shared his life experiences as an actor. He advised the students to obey and respect their parents. He also stressed the students not to waste time on mobiles instead invest the time into education and achieve something in life. He also urged the students to become responsible citizens. He especially felt very happy that he was felicitated in St Aloysius College. He said that he will remember the felicitation forever.

Addressing the gathering A C Bhandari said, “Tulu is a very good regional language. Most of the people of Karavali have known this language and communicate with it.” He also said that we must preserve the culture and beauty of Tulu language and it is necessary to organize activities like Rang Tudar. It is a matter of pride that the students in St Aloysius College are giving importance to Tulu Language by organizing such activities through Tulu Koota.

Principal Rev Dr Praveen Martis in his address said that St Aloysius College always encourages such programmes in Tulu language. He appreciated the efforts of the Tulu Koota of the college for conducting such a memorable programme. “We in our college give importance to all the languages and we have many Tulu students in our College. Hence, it is a matter of great feeling that our students make the college proud by organizing such programmes,” he added.

The programme co-ordinator of “Rang Tudar” Suraksha Karkera was also present on the dais. Rashmi, from the

Department of BBA welcomed the gathering. Durga introduced the guests to the gathering. Chaitra, Ist B Com compered the programme and secretary of Tulu Koota, Kishore, II B Com proposed the vote of thanks.
