Bengaluru: Two burnt alive as fire erupts after bus-car collision at Anekal

Bengaluru, Jul 22: Two passengers of a car were burnt alive when their car caught fire after it collided with a bus at Hennagara Gate on Hosur main road under Anekal taluk of Bengaluru city district on Sunday, July 22.

The car was moving from Bengaluru city towards Hosur. It is said that the car hit the road divider first, lost control and hit the bus. Due to the impact of the collision, the bus also caught fire.

Both the bus and car were completely burnt in the mishap. The identity of the deceased persons, occupants of the car, could not be ascertained as the number plate of the car was also charred beyond recognition.

Suryanagar police visited the spot and conducted investigation.

    Speeding is the main cause of accidents and this is what must have happened after a bus-car collision at Anekal. Only two occupants of the car last their lives even though both the vehicles caught fire. RIP.

    Laws must be changed...
    All buses should have at least 5 emergency exits... ideally 2 on top, 2 each on sides and one in the back.
    Glass breaker hammers should be fixed in key places in AC buses with sealed side glasses.

    Very true. Safety standards to be increased. Even road dividers to be easily visible with reflective sticker or adequate lighting.

    People are fool enough to INCREASE the speed when it "Starts" raining. Bikers especially. Do they not realise that they will slip and their chances of hitting another vehicle/ getting into a pothole rises because of poor visibility?
    A pathetic world we live in.
    Nevertheless, this Car does need a complete inspection. Moreover I thought vehicles burn only in the movies when it is bit by another vehicle.
