Mangaluru: Registration for next Haj pilgrimage begins

Mangaluru, Jul 20: The registration process of Haj pilgrims who will be leaving from the airport here for the holy Haj pilgrimage through the government-run Indian Haj Committee, began at Ansar school at Bajpe on Thursday July 19.

The process began with the first ever registration of Ibrahim from Kattapuni near Parappu in Bantwal taluk. On Thursday, 143 persons registered their names for the pilgrimage.

Haroon Ahsani performed the Dua. City Haj management committee president, Haji Y Muhammed Kunhi, Wakf Advisory Committee former district president, S M Rashid Haji, and several other leaders were present.

The first team with 146 people will leave the city for Madina on Saturday. The pilgrims who will leave on July 22 and 23 will register their names at Ansar school Bajpe on July 20 and 21. The registration will be on from 10 am to 4 pm. The pilgrims coming for registration have been advised to bring receipt for money remitted, and their luggage.
