Udupi, Jul 19: A complaint has been lodged at Hiriadka police station by Lathavya Acharya, brother of Shiroor Math seer, alleging foul play in latter's death here on Thursday, July 19.
Lathavya in his complaint has alleged that Shiroor Math seer Lakshmivara Theertha Swamiji has been murdered.
In the complaint he has alleged that the seer has been poisoned. He has also demanded high- level probe into the case.
Hiriadka police have said that the complaint has been registered and further investigation was underway.

It may be recalled that on July 17, the seer who participated in Vanamahotvasa programme at Shiroor had snacks with the children present. Later he had complained of food poisoning that led to vomiting and severe stomach pain.
He passed away on July 19 without responding to treatment at KMC hospital.
