Kundapur, July 19: A person in the mentality of a psycho of stealing clothes of women in Vandse here has caused anxiety in the vicinity during the last two months.

The thief enters closed houses by climbing the roof and removing the tiles and steals only the clothes of women and disappears. Nearly six such instances are reported in Vandse grama panchayat limits already.

Police have arrived at the spots and conducted investigations. It appears on the onset as the handiwork of a pervert. He has also stolen Rs 20,000 from a house. He has reportedly taken away only the old and new clothes from other places even though there were valuables in the houses. People who are worried about this mysterious psycho have urged for deployment of policemen.

What he does with the old clothes taken away by him is not known. Few clothes were found spread in the forest. Those clothes also are said to be stolen ones. It is said that he throws water at the spots after stealing clothes. As water was found thrown in four places, there is a possibility of the involvement of one person in the thefts.

He targets houses which are closed during the day. It is said that grama panchayat president will be complaining about him to senior police officials.
