Bengaluru: Liberal grants - CM says his Delhi visit was fruitful

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jul 19: Karnataka chief minister (CM), H D Kumaraswamy, has termed his Delhi visit as fruitful. "During my discussions with various central ministers over a two-day period, I succeeded in getting over Rs 2,500 crore grants for the state. In addition, I could obtain permission for various projects here," he said.

The chief minister had visited Delhi to hold discussions with the MPs from the state in the light of the beginning of the monsoon session of the parliament. During this period he could also meet union ministers for food and consumer affairs, surface transport, defence, agriculture, railway and coal, and hold discussions with them. Kumaraswamy said that central food and consumer affairs minister, Ram Vilas Paswan, has instructed the officials to release Rs 954 crore to Karnataka, which happens to be the balance amount of support price the state is eligible to receive from 2014 till now.

"We brought to the notice of union minister for agriculture, Radhamohan Singh, about our plan to set up mega dairies in milk producers’ co-operative societies, as 85 lac litres of milk is being produced in the state now every day,” he informed.

The chief minister said that Singh appreciated this idea and agreed to release grant of Rs 900 crore for the purpose. "By using this money, we will set up mega dairies in Hassan, Kolar, and Dakshina Kannada district. At the same time, ministers for highways, railway, and irrigation have promised to extend full support to the projects in the state," he narrated.

Can we see the working difference between our Union Govt and our State Govt?
Karnataka CM, H D K, has a vision, plans well and FIRST does his works and then publishes!
He is focused and very transferant in his work! He works more, talks less!
What he promised to the state farmers, truly he is working on it and started delivering!
He and people of the state will be blessed!
