“Fishermen's life is also like framers. The government must extend its facilities to fisherwomen and must find permanent solution for their problems,” he said.

Matsashraya scheme should be continued as earlier, Yashpal demanded.

The coastal district is becoming as old age homes, because youngsters are moving towards urban areas in search of jobs. Therefore, IT companies must be established here for generating employment. Good to see CM is visiting coastal region and understand the problems of people in this region. Its good time to bring all our problems and notify the CM.

One point to be noted here when we say "IT companies must be established here for generating employment". Why would any MNC or Indian IT giants risk opening companies in coastal region? We have super talented people with best education here. But when elections are nearing we have bandhs and protests every 2nd day. We are pron to violence in the name of religion and coastal belt of Karnataka is religiously very sensitive region. Hence no companies would come down to this region for sure. We need to change this first for IT companies to come here.
