Kundapur: Yuva Bantara Sangha distributes scholarships to students

Kundapur, Jul 17: “Children should be ahead in sports as well as academics so that they achieve all round progress,” said World Bunts Federation president Aikala Harish Shetty. He addressed a gathering after inaugurating a programme on distribution of scholarships to students and felicitation to special achievers on Sunday July 15 held by Yuva Bantara Sangha at R N Shetty auditorium here.

“Children should maintain self confidence along with respect in society. They should work together in unity and be a model to society.”



Fortune Group of hotels Dubai chairman Vakwady Pravin Shetty spoke as chief guest. Kundapur Yuva Bantara Sangha president Kodladi Praveen Kumar Shetty chaired the programme. Scholarships were distributed to students on the occasion.

Felicitation to special achievers:

Achievers in Bunt community in different sectors, namely Yakshagana artiste Sanjiva Shetty, 93.5 red FM radio jockey and well known narrator R J Nayana Shetty, Dr Ashritha Pravin Shetty who is selected for free education in MD, Zee Kannada TV Sa Re Ga Ma Pa little champs singer Sanwi Shetty, Zee Kannada TV drama junior fame child artiste Aaradhya Srikanth Shetty, national skating sportsman Takshak A Shetty, Sreya Hegde and Shravya B Shetty who bagged first place in PUC and SSLC in the taluk respectively among Bunts community were felicitated. Sathish Shetty BE, Kandavara Kelamane, entrepreneur Mumbai Shanker Shetty were honoured by donors Ashok Kumar Shetty Bijooru and Chandrashekar Shetty Kailady.

Education and social welfare committee Bunts Mumbai president Ulthooru Mohandas Shetty, Bantara Yane Nadavara Mathra Sanga, Mangaluru vice president Kenchanooru Somashekar Shetty, Bantara Yane Nadavara Sangha, Kundapur convener Sampigedi Sanjiva Shetty, Pratam Group of hotels Mumbai’s Suresh Shetty Marathoor, Venkamma Ramanna Shetty Trust secretary B Rajiv Shetty, Mohandas Shetty, Adarsh Shetty, Shivaprasad Hegde Anagalli and secretary Ganesh Shetty were present.

Sachin Kumar welcomed the gathering. Sukesh Shetty delivered the keynote address.
