Mangaluru, Jul 16: ICYM Naravi unit on Sunday July 16 organized Vanamahotsava - 2K18 at St Antony Church, Naravi.

Ajith, forest officer was chief guest of the programme.

Fr Simon DSouza, parish priest, St Antony Church, Naravi presided over the programme along with Fr Arun Wilson Lobo, assistant director, ICYM Naravi unit, Vincent Rodrigues, vice president and Rita Pinto, secretary, parish pastoral council, Sanjay Miranda, animator, ICYM Naravi unit who were present as dignitaries of the programme.

Rohan Pereira, unit president welcomed the gathering. Ajith inaugurated the programme by handing over saplings to Vincent Rodrigues along with 9 ward gurkars and addressed the gathering on the importance of greenery.

Fr Simon DSouza appreciated the youth for organizing Vanamahotsava in the parish and encouraged them and the parishioners to plant many saplings in the required areas.

Jovel Fernandes thanked everyone for being part of the programmme and compered the programme.

Towards the end, saplings were distributed to all the parishioners.
