Udupi: Bhaskar Shetty murder - prime accused produced in court amid tight security

Udupi, Jul 16: The prime accused in the sensational murder case of NRI businessman K Bhaskar Shetty, were produced in court here on Monday July 16 amid tight security.

Bhaskar Shetty's wife Rajeshwari Shetty, son Navaneeth Shetty and Nandalike Niranjan Bhat were brought through Bengaluru route and were produced at Udupi district and sessions court.

Bhaskar Shetty's mother Gulabi Shetty was also present during the court proceedings. 

Security has been beefed up at the court premises.

Bhaskar Shetty, a NRI businessman, who owned big businesses in Saudi Arabia and Udupi, went missing from his house on July 28 in 2016 and his mother Gulabi Shetty lodged a missing complaint at the Manipal police station on July 29. The police arrested Rajeshwari (50), Navneet (20), on the charge of murdering Bhaskar Shetty and destroying evidence on August 7 the same year.
