Chikkamagaluru: Doctor arrested for inappropriate behaviour with lady assistant

Chikkamagaluru, Jul 16: Dr Veeresh Naregal, who is working as a doctor at government MGM hospital at Mudigere near here, has been arrested on a complaint in which it is alleged that he behaved in an inappropriate manner with a lady assistant and also threatened to kill her.

In her complaint, the lady assistant said, "I was performing my duty in the labour ward of the hospital at Megalpet. Dr Veeresh Naregal pulled me towards him. I screamed loudly. On hearing my cry for help, assistants from nearby wards came to my help. After this incident, the doctor threatened me with dire consequences if I report the matter to anyone."

The town police of Mudigere have registered a case based on the complaint of the lady assistant.

The arrest was made on Saturday, Jul 14.

    Soon there will be perfumes in the market to express ones desires like in the animal world. One shud approach only those sporting specific perfume else face charges even for expression of intent. Presently no mechanism to know what is going on in others mind. LOL

    Congress is the name of his parents ? They had money to make him a doctor but had no time to give some good advice ?

    If parents don't have time to instill respect towards others (irrespective of gender) to their offspring, let them not have children because then its trouble for people like you to use your brain and decide which government to blame.

    If the medical doctor is found guilty, he should not be allowed to continue practising as a medical doctor.

    Otherwise, he will continue with the inappropriate behaviour with every female patient that comes for any consultation.

    Any sensible Doctor misbehaving with a lady doctor while on the duty hours is unbelievable, he must be either Psycho or drunk. Proper investigation will bring out the truth.
