Mangaluru: Abdul Hameed Kukkaje's 'Pottadrama' wins first prize in Beary story writing contest

Mangaluru, Jul 15: The results of short story writing contest organised by the Beary Literature and Cultural Association have been announced.

Abdul Hameed Kukkaje's 'Pottadrama' has bagged first prize, whereas 'Paicho Bayar' by Azad Khandiga has won the second prize. The third prize has been won by two - Salethur Abubakkar Faizi for his 'Giliro gudu' and Badruddin Kulur for his story 'Niyath'.

The prize distribution will be held in August and all the winners will be awarded certificates. The winning short stories will be published in in 'Beary Varthe' magazine.

The contest has been organised with an intention to promote Beary language.
