The committee Chairman, members along with MRPL officials inspected the newly built Lady Goshen hospital. The visiting committee had 12 members.

Addressing to the media Veerappa Moily said," We all committee members are in city to inspect newly built Lady Goschen hospital which is built with the help of MRPL’s CSR fund. This is one of the beautiful projects in the entire country that has come up thanks to a CSR fund. MRPL has given a grant of Rs 21.7 crore so far. It is providing equipment worth Rs 1.5 crore and also has agreed to provide additional equipment of Rs 5 crore,”

When asked about non availability of facilities for pregnant women, Moily said, "We have inspected each and everything and will provide all types of facilities with modern technology in this hospital,”

When asked about inauguration of this hospital, Moily said, "We will soon inaugurate this hospital on the availability of dates of petroleum minister and health minister. Little bit of work still needs to be completed and due to some reasons, we have shifted some wards to this new building before its inauguration,”

When asked about staff shortage, Moily said," We will provide staff not only from government but also KMC will also provide additional 100 doctors and nurses to this hospital,”

While Yeddy was CM a bogus person from Andhra promised 20 crores to renovate this hospital. The foundation stone was laid with great pomp and publicity. The whole thing went for a toss and the foundation stone was only gathering moss highlighting another failure and false promises of the previous BJP government. It is due to the tireless efforts of local Congress MLA J R Lobo and the Siddhu government and help from MRPL Lady Goschen hospital has been rebuilt now. BJP only makes false promises and the Congress delivers. Lady Goschen hospital is another proof of that.

It is a wonderful news that Lady Goshen hospital will be able to deliver better service to rich and poor pregnant women in Mangalore due to the goodwill and donation from corporations like MRPL.

On other day there was a news that one of the nationalized banks has donated Rs.25 lacks to Swamiji to fund Childbirth Shale for cows, which is the first-of-its-kind in the history of cow farming. I wish these banks should also donate money (if permitted by the RBI) to Child birth Shale like Lady Goshen Hospital where poor and needy can get good care.

I don't mind donating money for Child birth Shale for pigs, but humans should get the priority.

What a delightful news about Lady Goshen Hospital and all the progress anticipated thru the help and guidance of MRPL. Medical service is the "Numero Uno" amongst all the priorities of the National budgets.

India is known for the best Doctors and Nurses because Millions of Doctors and Nurses have migrated from India to different parts of the world and have earned their name and fame for their dedication of hard work and diligence in all the Medical services prevailing throughout the world.

It is our hope and prayer that Lady Ghosen Hospital will rise to the occasion of being the best Medical Center not only for the wealthy people but for everybody that needs the Medical Service.

Sooner or later, it is also our ardent desire that this huge complex that is existing at the central location of Hampankatte should be moved to some other location far away from the City environment. It will take a long time, no doubt, but sooner or later that should be the vision of our wise leaders of Mangalore.
