Bengaluru, Jul 14: A woman, who accepted a friend request from a stranger and later ended up marrying him, has been left devastated after finding that the man had cheated her all the while.

The 31-year old woman underwent five abortions and was duped of lacs of rupees, after she married her Facebook friend against her family’s wishes.

The man, who is now around 35-years old, had married the woman in 2014. However, he did not get the marriage officially registered. The woman who was living in a PG accommodation moved into a rented house with him after marriage.

The man lied to her that he is building a house for them, and forced her to take a loan of Rs 3 lacs and she is still paying the instalments. She also paid him Rs 25,000 every month.

In the two years of their marriage, the woman got pregnant five times but the man forced her to abort.

In 2016, the man got married to another woman in Kerala and registered this marriage but kept his first wife in the dark. To avoid suspicions, he used to live with each of his wives alternatively every two weeks.

She forced her husband to register their marriage in Bengaluru in 2016,

However, the truth was revealed when she called her husband and heard Malayalam being spoken in the background. She then grew suspicious and upon investigations, she found that her husband was cheating her for over two years.

The woman slipped into severe depression and asked the Parihar Charitable Organization for help. After being counselled, she hopes to get justice and get her husband punished.
