Bengaluru: Ease of doing business - State placed eighth in country

Bengaluru, Jul 11: A list of states ranked under 'ease of doing business' norms was released on Tuesday July 10. Karnataka has been ranked eighth as per this list. In the year 2016, the state had secured tenth spot.

The department of industrial policy and promotion of the central government, in association with the World Bank, decides these rankings. As per this list, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have bagged the top two ranks in that order. Haryana has been placed in the third spot.

Andhra Pradesh has succeeded in retaining its top rank for two years in succession.
