Mangaluru: Tulu film 'Patthis Gang' audio released amidst fanfare

Mangaluru, Jul 9: The audio launch of one of the most awaited Tulu films of the year ‘Patthis Gang’ took place amidst a huge crowd at Forum Fiza Mall on Sunday, July 8.

Sandalwood senior actor Anant Nag and legendary saxophonist Padmashree Dr Kadri Gopalnath attended as chief guests and released the audio CD. Fr Jerald Furtado, principal, St Aloysius School, Dr Devaraj, principal, SDM College, Abhaya Simha, national award winning director, directors Vijaya Kumar Kodialbail, Ranjith Bajpe, Devdas Kapikad, Prakash Pandeshwara, and producers Harish Sherigar and Sharmila Kapikad, were present on the dais as guests.

Prior to the launch, Anant Nag and Dr Kadri Gopalnath were felicitated by production banner ‘Inbox Creatives’.

Addressing the gathering, Anant Nag said, “From the past 2-3 years, I am active in Dakshina Kannada, especially in the city of Mangaluru. I have acted in three movies produced by Mangaluru based producers. I like the people of Mangaluru for their kind heart and love filled hospitality. Mangaluru is the number one city for private entrepreneurship in the entire world. No one can beat them in this matter. Within a short period of time, they built a cinema industry now called the ‘Coastalwood’. Now they are closely competing with Sandalwood. It shows how committed they are in entrepreneurship,"

“The trailer itself indicates that the movie ‘Patthis Gang’ will be based on comedy. Meanwhile, it also shows that the movie will give the viewers a visual treat. People will definitely accept this movie and it will become a trendsetter in Coastalwood. I wish all success to the entire team including actors and technical persons,” he said.

Wishing the cast and crew, Dr Kadri Gopalnath said, “My son has composed music for ‘Pattis Gang’. I know the producers and director because they are my son’s childhood friends. They have the capacity to do something innovative and different. I am sure they must have put all their experience into making this film. Experience always makes people better in their profession and passion they pursue. I congratulate the entire team and wish them the very best.”

The film is directed by Suraj Bolar popularly known as DJ Suraj. The film has been given a U/A certificate by the censor board.

The film stars Mohan Sheni, Vismay Vinayak, Ajay Raj and Chandrahas Ullal. Navyatha Rai made her debut as lead actress. Tulu actors Aravind Bolar, Kishore D Shetty, Vijaykumar Kodialbail and Deepak Rai Panaje are seen in special roles.

Music for ‘Patthis Gang’ is being composed by Manikanth Kadri. Siddhu G S handled the cinematography. The film is edited by Suresh Nayak. Rajesh Kudla is the production in-charge.

Suraj has written the story of the film as well. 'Patthis Gang’ is being presented by Manoj Kumar and produced by Inbox Creatives, Preetham M N and Suraj Bolar.

Manoj Kumar welcomed the dignitaries. Manikanth Kadri narrated the journey of production. Sooraj Bolar introduced the actors and the crew. Preetham M N rendered the vote of thanks. VJ Vineeth compered the event.
