Moodbidri, Jul 8: The two-day, mass placement drive, ‘Alva’s Pragati -2018’ organized by Alva’s Education Foundation, showered thousands of job opportunities for various job aspirants from nook and corner of the country.

The fair has offered 1,326 spot offers, where, out of 183 companies, 167 shortlisted 3,947 candidates for its final round of selection. United Arab Emirates based company UAE Exchange selected 10 candidates, where candidate named Rajesh Nayak got the handsome package of Rs 8.5 lac per annum, remaining nine candidates were offered Rs 7 lac package per annum. SSG Software Systems Private limited offered the package of Rs 7.20 lac per annum. Bengaluru based manufacturing company Switch Gear has offered Rs 4 lac per annum for its selected candidates.

Jayaraj Nadar, HR Manager, Human Resources said, “We at Alembic Pharmaceuticals have been a part of several Job Fairs across the country. It is the biggest ever job fair that we have attended so far. We are really pleased to find such a huge pool of available good, talented, qualified employable resources from different backgrounds’.

The placement offers included jobs in information technology, marketing, insurance, health care, human resource, business process outsourcing, besides teaching professions. Students sat down for face-to-face interactions with the human resource departments of various corporate houses, counseling, and personality development sessions and on-the-spot short listing for jobs.
