Doha: KMCA organises sapling plantation event

Doha, Jun 25: Karnataka Muslim Cultural Association (KMCA) as part of ‘KMCA Plantation Drive’ organised an event to promote awareness on the need to plant more trees throughout the year on June 23 at Spectra Global School, Duhail.

The event was organised in three categories namely tree plantation by children, tree plantation by women and tree plantation by men.

The event was attended by family and friends of KMCA members and the leaders of other Karnataka based organisations of Qatar.



The event was organised under the guidance of school management Mohammed Ghazali, managing director and Khamer Mathin, director - Strategies.

The event was supervised by school principal Osiur Rahman who also participated in the plantation drive.

The children welcomed the attendees by distributing the KMCA caps.

President of KMCA Ibraiz Khan thanked the gathering for participating in the noble cause and explained that anyone who plants a tree is a charity, those who eat from it is charity, the birds sit on it is charity and anyone getting shade under it is a charity.

The event concluded with distribution of snacks.

This was the first calendar programme of KMCA executive members since they took over from June 2018.
