Roopesh had pushed his wife down the bridge at Nandigudi in the village into River Tungabhadra that is in full flow, at about 11.30 pm on Thursday June 21, before fleeing. The woman, who fell into the flowing river, got washed away for about half a km before she could hold on to a rock in the middle of the river. She spent the entire night on this rock. Not foolish. It is the procedure. There are many cases where husband and his parents are arrested for false cases by wife. The police investigation is very much required to ascertain the allegations so that innocent person is not arrested. If husband has done it then police needs to collect evidence so that in the court he is not acquitted.
