Sunny morning in Delhi, rains likely


New Delhi, Jun 23 (IANS): It was a sunny morning in the national capital on Saturday with minimum temperature recorded at 31.6 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.

There might be light rains towards evening, with maximum temperature likely to hover around 43 degrees, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

"The sky will remain partly cloudy with the possibility of very light rains towards evening," an IMD official told IANS.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 47 per cent.

Friday's maximum temperature settled at 42.5 degrees, four notches above the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 30 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average.
