Bantwal, Jun 23: In an incident which happened at Ammemar in Pudu village in the taluk on Friday June 22 morning, a man accidentally fell under the wheels of a train and lost his life.
The deceased was Farooq (45) from Ammemar. Farooq was employed in the dock at Bunder, Mangaluru. He was on his way to his workplace on Friday morning when he lost his life. It is guessed that he came under a moving train while crossing the tracks.
Some people who were walking by the tracks saw him and took him to hospital, but by then he had lost his life.
The deceased has left behind two sons and two daughters.
