Mangaluru: International Yoga Day celebrated at MRPL

Mangaluru, Jun 21: International day of Yoga was celebrated in MRPL on Thursday, June 21.

A yoga session was held in the morning at MRPL Recreation Centre under the guidance of yoga teacher from Mangalore University in which large number of employees participated. Later, a separate yoga session was held for CISF personnel from CISF unit of MRPL and DPS School students and family members of MRPL employees.

Earlier on June 21, Dr Thirumaleshwara Prasada from department of Human Consciousness and Yogic Sciences, Mangalore University, inaugurated week long yoga programmes in MRPL. A K Sahoo, director (Finance), B H V Prasad, GGM(HR) and other senior officers and employees of MRPL, CISF personnel participated in the programme.

    How does it feel to exploit the farmers, sieze their only means of livelihood, and then do yoga on the same land that the farmers used to bend their bodies to give us food?
