Dharwad, Jun 21: The taluk panchayat executive officer (EO) was caught red-handed by the officials of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday, June 20.
Shyamsundar Kamble, executive officer of Kalaghatagi taluk panchayat, was caught by the ACB officials. It is said that he had demanded for payment of bribe amounting to Rs 24,000 from a contractor for clearing his bill. ACB officials raided the office when Kamble was receiving Rs 24,000 from contractor, Noor Ahmed, in the office.
The ACB raid was led by deputy superintendent of police, Dharwad, Vijayakumar.
