90 Pakistani Hindus to get Indian citizenship in Ahmedabad

Gandhinagar, Jun 21 (NIE): Ninety Hindu applicants from Pakistan seeking Indian citizenship will be handed over certificates of Indian Citizenship by Ahmedabad Collector at a function on Friday under the provisions of the Citizenship Act, 1955. With this, Ahmedabad is leading all the districts in the country to give Indian citizenship to 320 Pakistani nationals.

An official release from Ahmedabad Collectorate said, “As per a gazette of the Indian Government dated December 23, 2016, District Collectors of Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Kutch have been empowered to confer citizenship on minority communities of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan (Hindu, Sikh, Baudhh, Jain, Parsi and Christians) within two years of the gazette (notification).”

“So, in accordance with the gazette, Ahmedabad Collector & District Magistrate will award citizenship to 90 applicants on June 22,” the release added.

An official of Ahmedabad Collectorate said that all the 90 applicants who will be awarded Indian citizenship are Hindus from Sindh province of Pakistan.

    You are not scared to see how the RSS is appointing, brain-washing and sending to slay people it doesn't like ? And the way the organization hide behind curtain and enjoy the fun ?

    All are Hindus - the slayer, slain and the one who arranged it. Where is nationalism then ? You guys don't want a peaceful India, you all want the same piece-piece-India that was before the British invaded.

    First the Govt has to ensure that they are not terrorist or affiliated to any such organizations of Pakistan. Gen the issue are with 'peace lovers' who seek asylum. Europe, UK ,US are paying a heavy price for sheltering 'peace loving' refugees and paying a heavy price for it. 'Attack a week' is the norm now and we move on saying 'terrorism has no religion'. India has to be very cautious here.

    May be these people are expecting Ache Din in India.
    There could be more exodus in coming days. Also, government should make better arrangement such as, job opprtunities, free land, and financial help by way of soft loan etc.
    By the way, any departures from India to PAK ?

    Wait-a-minute, Modi assured that he will seal the borders that there will be no infiltrating, there will be no illegal Bangladeshi/Pakistanis - what happened when it came to religion ?

    Please, don't bring Rohingyas, we don't want them too, because nobody will welcome us Indians if we go into any country infiltrating. India is not obliged to give shelter to Rohingyas because the civil unrest there is not created by India. Nor is it so in Pakistan ! Nobody will give us Indians a job if we are not qualified enough, no country will welcome us without a Passport and a Visa.

    If Modi has power to give citizenship to Hindus, he must send equal number of Muslims to an Islamic country, Christian to a Christian country - does he have power ?? We are educated and are asked to sell pokodas - what jobs is he going to give these Pakistani Hindus who may not be knowing other than Urdu script ???

    Common people, you guys don't accept a woman who came as a Daughter-in-law into this country, still call her an Italian, what farse is this ? How are these people going to be Indians ? Just because they are Hindus ? Hypocrites !

    Nirav Modi applied for citizenship of Hongkong - did he apply for it as a Hindu, or as an Indian ? There are several people in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, or the US - citizens of Indian Origin. Does religion matter to them, or are they discriminated against for belonging to a different religion than that of the host country ?

    Why do you need religion to govern your citizenship ? Why aren't you happy as an Indian ? Seek migration, if you are qualified you will be given, else, no.

    Moron.. comparing refugees to Nirav. I have always believed in secularism but seeing the mindset of people here I am seriously doubtful about my belief. We Hindus are not safe in this country anymore. It' is time we change our old blind belief system and ask for this country to be made Hindu country and get rid of this intolerance towards Hindus.

    Do you think India came to you as inheritance from your ancestors ? You make your inherited property as HINDU or anything you like but your power is limited just till there. India as a whole, was fought for, to be liberated from its invaders. The foreigners invaded it from kings of that time, many of whom were Hindus, who surrendered because they were fighting in bits and pieces. We are a free nation today because the battle was fought without the barrier of religion - people participated in it without calling themselves as Hindu/Muslim/Christian/Sikh - they all fought unitedly, as INDIANS.

    Those who dictate to you today that India is a HINDU nation, were never there in the battle that was fought shedding blood and facing bullets. Including ABV, was a witness in jailing a freedom fighter which obviously puts him in the side of the British. Mahatma Gandhiji was slain by none other than a Sanatan Sansta (now RSS) member, Naturam Ghodse. Now you tell me what right does this RSS has to snatch the nation from us all who live as descendants of those who fought for freeing it form the invaders ? You decide yourself - where do you stand - among supporters of Gandhiji, or among the killers of Gandhiji ?

    As for your demand to make India a Hindu nation, its impossible until you slay every Indian who believes in co-existence of all religions as our freedom fighters wanted it. The leaders drafted and enacted a constitution to make it secular because they knew the role of every religion's member, despite many of themselves being Hindus, ensured the secular fabric of it. They could have made it Hindu there and then, if the were of yours and RSS' mentality.

    Citizenship is not given to infiltrators. It is given to minorities from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh, to those who have legally applied for citizenship owing to religious persecution in these countries. It is granted after careful scrutiny. These are just a handful among the thousands in the waiting list, who have not returned or do not want to return to Pak even after the expiry of their visas. All among them are not Hindus there are also Christians, Sikhs and Ahmadis (a persecuted sect of Muslims in Pakistan). Why should an equal number of Muslims or Christians from India be sent to other countries? Any Indian is free to move out of the country. But these Pakistanis who had been suffering persecution for years have been compelled to leave their homes. Almost all from the minority communities are ready to leave Pakistan. But is there anybody among the minorities in India who desires to settle in Pakistan? Here I personally know a few Pakis who are trying to settle in other countries. Also there is one who has not travelled to Pakistan for the past 8 years.

    Did you read recently 7,000/- Indians sought migration from US in 2017 ? Do you think they were all Christian/Muslims ? If all nations are to send back Hindus and take Christian/Muslims, imagine the number going, and the number coming in. Imagine the qualification of those that are being called-in and if they are ready for it ?
