Mangaluru, Jun 19: After a scooter hit a car opposite Bondel church on Airport Road here on Monday June 18 afternoon, the bike rider flew over the car and got deposited on the the road. He suffered extensive injuries.

The biker is said to be belonging to Muchoor village and that he is a coolie by profession. Other details like name and address are not yet available.

The car was taking a turn on the road when the motor bike directly came and hit the car. Most of the injuries the biker suffered were to his legs. The car driver himself took the injured two-wheeler rider to a private hospital where he was admitted. The man is recovering in the hospital, and as per information, he did not suffer critical injuries as he was wearing helmet.

The traffic police have registered a case and begun investigation. The scene of the bike coming at high speed and hitting the car was recorded in CCTV camera in the area.
