Mangaluru: Pedestrian killed in hit and run case

Mangaluru, Jun 19: In an incident which happened at Jappinamogaru on the night of Sunday June 17, a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car.

The deceased was Satish, resident of Kattapuni in Jeppu Kudupady here.

Satish was walking by the side of national highway 66 on Sunday night from near Jappinamogaru when a car which came from behind knocked him down. The car sped away after causing the accident. Satish, who fell to the road and was seriously injured, was admitted to the government hospital here. But by then he had breathed his last, sources stated.

A case about this incident was filed in the traffic (south) police station here.
