Daijiworld Media Network - Puttur (SP)

Puttur, Jun 19: In an amusing incident that happened at Parpunja in the taluk on Monday January 18, a youth, who works as backhoe (JCB) operator, preferred to get perched on a backhoe with his bride during his wedding procession.

The bridegroom, Chetan from Kallakatta near Santyar in the taluk wanted to show his gratefulness towards his job that enables him to earn a living, by giving the vehicle its due. After marrying Mamata at Shivakripa marriage hall at Parpunja near Santyar, Chetan got seated in the backhoe along with his bride and rode in it.

The unique wedding procession attracted the attention of scores of people.

For the purpose, Chetan had got the backhoe for which he works, stationed near the marriage hall. The vehicle had been bedecked for the occasion. As soon as marriage formalities were completed, he got seated on the vehicle and got his newlywed wife also to sit by his side. As the people around looked on, he drove the machine till Santyar.

Once he reached Santyar, Chetan along with his wife got ensconced inside the bucket attached to the backhoe and asked his friend to operate the backhoe and proceeded to his house. People in general were astonished and appreciated Chetan for his out-of-the-box idea.

Wishing the newly married couple a very happy married life

    @ Prashant Karkera, Hejamady/Mumbai,

Your point more relevant to draw the attention of present Union Govt leaders, specially to our honorable PM Modiji, not to travel abroad and beg with a bowl for investment…!!!! with a cosmetic phrase like – “Make in Hindustan”...,

    lol..., kuch bhi...!!!!

Hope this couple will recognize and prioritize health and safety aspects in their life. RTO should cease this JCB and book the owner. Clearly that's not the place for living humans to be seated to travel.

Should have chosen traditional Indian attire.

Traditional weddings like old wine need to be appreciated and will never go out of fashion. The current marriage craze will go out of fashion in a few years. In olden days marriage involved a week long enlisting and a specialist from the neighborhood to prepare food. There were no caterers. They used to serve in a plantain leaf followed by,pickle, buns, green banana curry,Mutton curry, pork masala, rice and sour .and after that a night long dance with he he cathrina and ami dogi sezara songs till the wee hours with back door country liquor. The fun was unlimited compared to the present wedding.
