Mangaluru: No power supply to parts of city on Tuesday

Mangaluru, May 28: As Mangalore Electricity Supply Company (Mescom) has conveyed the information that pre-monsoon precautionary measures like tree cutting, replacement of jumpers and GOS repair are being undertaken in the Lalbagh feeder beginning from Mannagudde substation here. Therefore, it stated, that power supply to areas like Lalbagh, Mannagudda, Hindi Prachar Samiti, Ladyhill circle and surrounding areas will not have power supply from 10 am to 3 pm on Tuesday, May 29.

Udupi Mescom also informed that it would be taking up precautionary measures in view of forthcoming rainy season like tree cutting and GOS repairs in the Malpe feeder which is served from the power substation at Nittur on Tuesday, May 29.

Laxminagara, Garade, Srinagar, Puttur, Subrahmananagara, Malpe, Kola, Thottam, Badanidiyoor, Thenkanidiyoor, Uddinahitlu, Bailakere, Malpe beach, Vadabhandeshwar and surrounding areas will not get power supply on Tuesday, it said. Mescom has requested its consumers to make a note of the above and cooperate.
