Mangaluru: Renowned photographer Keshav Vittla no more

Mangaluru, May 28: Keshav Vittla, a renowned photographer and Dakshina Kannada Rajyotsava award winner passed away here on Monday May 28 at Wenlock hospital.

Keshav was 56.

Keshav was suffering from a kidney-related ailment.

Keshav, who hailed from Vittal, started his career with 'Mungaru' newspaper in 1984. Later in 1996 he joined 'Indian Express' and was a freelancer at 'The Telegraph' and 'Hindustan Times'.

Keshav Vittla's coffee table book of over 400 photographs ‘Facets of Karnataka – A Pictorial Journey’ focuses on state’s abundant water bodies and quixotic rock formations.

Keshav has been conferred with several awards including Dakshina Kannada Rajyotsava award, Baliyendra award, Tulunada Siri, Best Photographer award by Karnataka Press Club etc.

The last rites will be held on May 28 at 2 pm in Vittal.
