Puttur: Two-wheeler hits railway over-bridge - postman breathes his last

Puttur, May 26: In an incident which happened near Gadipila here on the night of Thursday May 24, a postman from the town lost his life. This tragic incident happened when a scooter rider lost his balance and hit the railway over-bridge.

The deceased happens to be Taniya Mayila (55), son of Choma from Kaniyur Matattar of the taluk.

Taniya used to travel to his workplace in town by scooter everyday from his village by scooter. On Thursday, while returning home his two-wheeler hit the railway bridge grievously injuring him in the incident. His end came whilst he was taken to a hospital in town, sources said.

The town traffic policemen have registered a case. The deceased has left behind wife, son and daughter.
