Yes. Also, there is no such thing as sudden brake. Whoever hits the vehicle moving ahead from behind, is at fault. It only means you were following the vehicle ahead too closely or speeding.

Mangalore will never improve with traffic problems. People are not bothered even at signals even if there is red signal, they would at the most take a U-turn. Four wheelers parked on the foothpath and the police not bothered if any car is parked on a footpath. The police only target bikers with helmet or without helmet. Looks like this is the main source of revenue for the traffic dept. by penalizing the two wheeler riders. If we see on GHS road, K.S.Rao road and P.M. Rao road find four wheelers parked anywhere, even obstructing pedestrians. Police least bothered.

What is the relevance of parking issue with this accident?

Parking is allowed even in the bridge if there's a mechanical breakdown!

sri_elder, Karkala there was no red triangle used in this case. If there is a breakdown the driver should have used a red triangle, a cautionary sign. The drivers will not even use the hazardous lights.

I've replied to your comment regarding the collision between the express bus and stationary truck. From this comment of yours, it's evident you don't know traffic rules properly: Parking on a bridge is not allowed anywhere in any case and in any country. In case of emergency breakdown, one must put sufficient warning signs like the hazard lights, reflective triangle or even tree branches at a sufficient distance from the position of the vehicle to alert the oncoming traffic.

Dear NM, that's what I have too commented! He is absolutely clueless and comments for the sake of commenting!. Maybe he can tell us which rule or sub rule of MV act allows for parking anywhere without displaying proper warning signs or calling emergency services in case of mechanical breakdown!!. What I am amazed is that, in this age of information at your finger tips, people comnent like they know everything!!!.

Mr Truth- 13 people agree to my comments so far? They too clueless?

Suppose breakdown just happened and other accident followed within minute... No time for driver to bring tree branches 😁

Again sri_elder at it! Tree branches are never to be used nor approved or suggested in MV act! 13 people I agree, But just reverse it and it will be 31! 31% also elected someone in 2014 May without knowing why!!!!. This happens and 69% will always suffer for that blunder!

Mr truth- let it be very clear... If you dash someone car or bike from behind then you are held responsible no matter what! So drive responsibly. In this case let us assume that car drivers are drunken and they are having eye problems!
