Mangaluru: M Venkatesh appointed managing director of MRPL

Mangaluru, May 24: The central government, through an order issued on Wednesday May 23, appointed M Venkatesh as the managing director of the city-based Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd.

Currently Venkatesh has been functioning as director, refineries of the company. He had taken over as director refinery on January 7, 2015.

Venkatesh is a chemical engineer who is backed by the experience of having worked in oil and gas sector. He has been with the company since 1994 and has participated in all the major projects.

His term in the new position will be of five years with effect from the date he assumes charge on or after June 1, 2018.
