H D Kumaraswamy's swearing-in ceremony: Prohibitory orders issued in Mangaluru

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, May 22: In the wake of the oath-taking ceremony of chief minister-designate H D Kumaraswamy and trust vote of Congress-JD(S) alliance, prohibitory orders have been imposed in Mangaluru city commissionerate from May 23 to May 24.

Police commissioner Vipul Kumar in his order dated Tuesday May 22 stated that Mangaluru police commissionerate is communally and politically sensitive. The situation in view of the assembly elections and counting of votes is like burning embers and there are chances of political and communal disturbances after the trust vote. There have been incidents of fights between political parties after counting of votes on May 15 and several cases have been registered in police stations.

Therefore, to prevent disturbances in view of swearing-in ceremony on May 23, prohibitory orders under Section 25 of Karnataka Police Act will be enforced from 2 pm on May 23 to 6 pm on May 24 in Mangaluru police station limits to prevent untoward incidents.

Carrying weapons, sticks, knives, swords, blades, guns, bursting of crackers, carrying of explosive substances, celebrations, public rallies, public and political meetings, functions, tools or instruments that throw stones or such items, open slogans that disrupt law and order, degrade the security of the state or incite crimes, singing, music, provocative speeches, use of signs or numbers, preparation of hand bills, chemicals or distributing them are banned during the period.

People of K'ta kicked your beloved siddu from CM chair what you say about that? I fee pity for you for enjoying seeing your so loving party Cong begging JDS chief for becoming CM just to remain in power..which will not going last more than 2 weeks. All credit goes to people who voted for BJP this time just to kick appeasement politics and arrogant people out of india.

Erstwhile city known as education hub, city of wisdom, has become city of rowdyism like U.P. and Bihar.
Sad story, instead of improving ourselves, fearing God and gaining wisdom, ( Devara Bhayave Gyanakke aarambha) we are going back to uncivilized days!

Can we ever make our city tourism hub? Police have to be engaged for maintaining law and order !
And we are proud to say ours is educational city!
