Prerana organizes 'Iftar' get together in association with Fortune Group of Hotels

Dubai, May 20: The Consulate General of India under the Culture wing has initiated Prerana an initiative to support families with differently abled individuals. 

Manthan - a churning of ideas organized an Interactive evening for sharing knowledge and experience for parents, professionals, volunteers and others involved in providing care to children and adults who are differently abled on Saturday, May 19 at Dubai Grand Hotel by Fortune (Al Qusais).

The program was presided by H. E. Shri. Vipul, Consul General of India, Dubai.



































More than 75 children, together with their families, gathered at Dubai Grand Hotel by Fortune, for the get together.

The Holy month of Ramadan is the time for caring and compassion.Several children recited the surah from Holy Quran and read duas on stage. They also shared the importance of fasting in Ramadan and what truly stands for the spirit of Ramadan.

H.E. Vipul, Consul General of India, Dubai addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts of “Prerana” and its volunteers, He wished everyone Ramadan Kareem and said “Prerana” is very close to his heart and he has always been around for the activities organized by them. “We constantly support such causes and initiatives to make a difference in their lives,” he added. He also spoke about the spirit of Ramadan and was very moved by the children reciting surah from Holy Quran.

Praveen Shetty, Chairman – Fortune Group of Hotels said, “It is our pleasure to seize such an opportunity to bring a smile on the face of every child who is in need of attention and care. This represents the spirit of Ramadan and we are extremely proud of Fortune Family who come together for such initiatives every year and go the extra step to give back to the community.”

The fasting guests, on the call of Azan, broke the fast together with dates and juices, after which they adjourn for Maghrib prayer and then everyone joined for Iftar. The differently abled children loved the food at the hotel.
