Mangaluru: Hit by motor bike, pedestrian killed at Bejai

Mangaluru, May 20: A pedestrian was killed after he was knocked down by a motor bike on the night of Friday May 18. This accident happened opposite KSRTC bus stand, Bejai in the city.

The deceased has been identified as Basavaraj. The motor bike rider involved with this accident, Bijith, was moving towards Lalbagh from the direction of Bejai with a pillion rider in his motor bike when the two-wheeler hit Basavaraj, who was crossing the road. Basavarj sustained serious injuries to his head and legs and fell unconscious on the spot.

The injured person was admitted into a private hospital here in unconscious state.  He did not respond to treatment, and breathed his last there. A case about this accident was registered in traffic police station, Kadri.
