Mangaluru: Farooq and Ivan may throw spanner in Khader's return to ministry!

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, May 20: Even as JDS-Congress alliance is set to take over power in Karnataka, behind the scene activities are going on by people desirous of being part of the new ministry that is expected to be formed during the next week.

Former minister, U T Khader, who happens to be the only Congress legislator to have been elected this time from the twin districts of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada, is a natural choice for ministerial post but sources said that MLC, Ivan D'Souza, and JD(S) leader, B M Farooq, have begun clandestine efforts to pose challenge to the choice of Khader and get ministerial positions for themselves.

B M Farooq and Ivan D'Souza

B M Farooq, who happens to be the state general secretary of JD(S), was hoping to become Rajya Sabha member but Congress did not support his aspirations. Angered by this, it is said that he had made efforts to ensure that Khader is defeated in Mangaluru constituency and had pitted former city mayor, Ashraf, against him. but this plan did not succeed.

Sources say that Farooq does not want Khader to become a minister although he happens to be a natural choice. Farooq is close to top JD(S) leaders and he was fielded by them twice. Therefore, he might be offered the post of the minister with the hope of getting him elected to legislative council. Ivan D'Souza, whose membership of the council is valid till 2020, has been close to Siddaramaiah and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president, Dr G Parameshwar. He has already been lobbying hard for ministerial position, sources claim. Ivan, who had tried to become party nominee for Moodbidri constituency, also eyes the post of the district in-charge minister, it is said. If he becomes district in-charge minister, Farooq might be made Udupi district in-charge minster.

Khader says no discussions about formation of the state ministry has taken place so far and that rumours making the rounds are baseless. He added that he will be committed to any decision the party leadership might take on this issue.

Farooq and Ivan , just because of people like you all, BJP won majority of the seats !!! Please do not act like this. Do not divide for your personal gains ! Unite together to be a ruling party to support the people! .
Even though i do not belong to any party, i was praying that Yeddi will not succeed with his wicked schemes and let congress or JDS come to power.
Looking at the write up, you guys are no less than Brutus who stabbed his own friend Ceaser for power!
Do good, and you will succeed whatever you do !

Next five years with a single Congress majority would have put us in the world map for the improvements that would have done. Its over now , time to step back and realize what we did . Religion and lot of fake hate propaganda stories gave us the lotus BJP and a big thumps down now . Most of the Media has played a major role in spreading lies and getting us to where we are now.Its now a Crab game to pull each other down ....

All are from minorities.... Sorry to say this ....BJP and RSS played communal politics and brainwashed the youths... So that no Hindu candidates from congress in twin districts couldn't win... Coz Congress was shown as anti Hindu...eventhough people from every community was beneficiarirs of Congress development policies...Only murder from one side was shown to brainwash youths some not even related to communal issues...
Tippu Jayanthi was used as an excuse to portray siddu as anti Hindu... While BJP appointed president could praise Tippu ..Also Yeddi and Shettar too praised Tippu in past...which RSS doesn't want to mention..
What youths of Tulunadu got ...they voted for Cow not for humans...Gobar triumphed over government... So only minority candidates in minority dominated seats got elected in Tulunadu..

We had requested and warned Ivan many times when he left JDS to join Congress. He would have been a big minister today had he still been in JDS. No use Ivan crying over spilt milk. Its JDS all the way in Ktaka now. Despite being the 3rd , JDS is the one who calls the shots. Cong is literally written off, and you are aware of that. The recent election result says it all. When you have not got a ticket what ministry will you get?

what you mean by minority appeasement, did tippu jayanthi made minorities any difference a big No as nobody wants to celebrate his jayanthi, shadi bhagya alos not helped the way its been projected, whereas Anna bhagya, ksheera bhagya,Krishi Bhagya,Runamukta Bhagya,Arogya Bhagya,Laptop Bhagya,Saala (loan) Bhagya and lot more schemes including Indira canteen was not just meant for minorities and it was for all who has eligible without looking at cast and creed.

Free gas, free sports kits etc has been availed by neighbours along with enjoying anna bhagya and other bhgya's betrayed him just based on home to home malicious campaign of anti hindu tag by BJPians with the help of RSS caders, so its very clear 70% of the people were happy with Siddhu's bhagya scheme and what BJP projected was useless jayanthi and cast based murders ( one sided only) to make him fail.

There are only 2 prominent Muslim MLAs of which one is Zameer Ahmed who if in the race accepts a Ministerial Berth, Mr. U.T. Kader may not get the Ministerial berth as both are from Congress.

There is only one Christian MLA Mr. George and he is from Bangalore whereby due to Mr. J.R. Lobo's efficiency he could be offered a MLC position to see him active in politics and may also be the District in Charge so as to elevate him as the MP nominee

Ivan has himself built a lot of enmity within the Party workers than the voters

The JDS cannot afford to have a badly lost Congi candidate as a MLC or MLA in the coalition berth.
There might be serious mis-understandings and revolt. Also a high voltage drama by JDS cadres. Its for JDS HDK to decide. They are the ruling party, with Cong not having any decesion making matters and just outside support.
