Bengaluru: With new audio clip, Congress alleges Yeddyurappa tried to lure MLA

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru

Bengaluru, May 19: With allegations that BJP is desperately trying to poach Congress and JD(S) MLAs to reach the halfway mark, another audio clip of chief minister B S Yeddyurappa offering a ministerial berth to Congress Hirekerur MLA B C Patil is making rounds.

The 1 minute 45 second audio clip’s authenticity is yet to be confirmed. Yeddyurappa is purportedly telling B C Patil not to go to Kochi but come back to him. Yeddyurappa allegedly offers him ministerial berth and whatever he wants.

When B C Patil says he is travelling, Yeddyurappa says make an excuse and deboard the bus. He also asks Patil if he has faith in him and asks him what he will do. The MLA, however, does not give him a definite answer and promises to call back in 5 minutes.

The Congress claimed that the conversation was recorded by the MLA himself.

This clip comes a day after the party released a 2 minute 41 second audio clip, which allegedly has the conversation where mining baron G Janardhana Reddy is trying to bribe MLA from Raichur by offering money and post.

Congress leader VS Ugrappa had also alleged that Yeddyurappa's son B Y Vijayendra called the wife of a Congress MLA, offering Rs 15 crore and ministerial berth to the MLA, and told her to convince her husband to vote for Yeddyurappa.

Transcript of the alleged conversation between B S Yeddyurappa and BC Patil

BC Patil - Hello ... hello... hello ... give him the phone (asking the man who called to hand the phone over)

Yeddyurappa - hello

BC- Anna namaskara, congratulations

BSY- Where are you?

BC Patil - going to Cochin in the bus

BSY- Don’t go to Cochin, come back. come back we’ll make you a Minister and help you in whatever way you want.

BC Patil - Anna.. okay..you’ve told me now.. if you tell me something about what next..

BSY: I could only tell you when the time was right, which is why I’m doing it now. Now don’t go to kochi, come back

BCP: But we’re in the bus

BSY: Don’t go, Make some excuse and come back

BCP: So what will be my position

BSY: You will become a minister

BCP: Anna I have 3 other people with me

BSY: Bring them with you, you have faith in me no?

BCP: Yes yes

BSY: Now come back, don’t go in the bus

BCP: Okay Anna okay

BSY: Once you go to Cochin, the matter is closed because we won’t be able to catch you.

BCP: Okay okay Anna

BSY: Now tell me what you’re going to do

BCP: I’ll Call you back in 5 minutes and tell you

    Shameless BJP leaders.
They tried to fiddle with even consitutional legal system. Tried to puchase MLA's for 100's of Crore Rs. All their attempts and cunning ways or speeches did not play major results in their favour. Just accept that what is out of way is even discareded by the Supreme powerfrom above. I was under the impression that instead of gaining Karnataka Stsate, they would have lost grip on Goa, Bihar, and two North Eastern States.
Sathya mev Jayate ! Always true.
Truth will prevail if not sooner by for ever.
Time is ripe to come out with new United political party.

What a shame! Indeed politics in our country has reached a new low.
We the innocent citizens vote for the leaders that we feel will do some good to our society, state and country.
We pay a big share of our hard earned money in terms of various taxes.
    What happens next?
The same leaders we elect resort to horse trading, wooing the elected representatives to switch sides, vote against the morals for which we elected them, even offer the representatives amounts like 100-150 crores, ministerial berths. Some who do not fall prey to such gimmicks are threatened or kidnapped and coerced into acting against their conscience.
    I ask all of you.
Do we need such leaders to dictate how we live our lives?
Don't we have any honest and non corrupt politicians? Or are the honest so few and far that they are easily outnumbered by the dirty politicians?
Everyday, the jobless rate is increasing, the prices of essential commodities are continuously on the rise. What future do we forsee for our children under the current circumstances?
It is indeed a very sad and serious situation and some serious reforms are required to secure a better future. Otherwise it wont be long before India turns into another Iraq or Libya or even worse something like Pakistan.
