Qatar, May 18: The fifth anniversary of Bunts Qatar was celebrated here recently. Moodambail Ravi Shetty, managing director of reputed ATS group of companies and Jyothi Ravi Shetty couple were felicitated on the occasion. Abdulla Monu, Qatar Karnataka Muslim Cultural Association president was presented Prakash Chandra Ajila memorial award for 2018.

Dr Shashikala Shetty Gurpur, director, Symbiosis School of Law, Pune, chief guest commended the work of Ravi Shetty, amateur yakshagana artiste in Qatar, entrepreneur, arts and sports promoter and young leader. Popular yakshagana artiste Patlaguthu Sathish Shetty remembered the achievement of Ravi Shetty couple who provided employment to hundreds of Tuluvas as a successful entrepreneur in the midst of relentless activities.

Doha Qatar Indian Cultural Centre president Milan Arun, amateur Yakshagana artiste Kadri Navaneetha Shetty, M Palanji Company's general manager, Jeppu Chidananda Naika, Qatar Design Consortium's B R Sathish were present as guests of honour.

Bunts Qatar president Navaneet Shetty welcomed everyone. Ram Mohan Rai delivered a congratulatory address. Amathi Akshini Shetty and Navin Shetty Iruvailu compered the programme.

Community members revealed the specialty of Indian festivals through different dances. 'Chandrahasa Charitre', a yakshagana play directed by Patla Sathish Shetty was presented.

Vice president Ramachandra Shetty Pejavara, Pejavar chief secretary Roshan Shetty, treasurer Dhananjay Shetty were present. Cultural secretary Chaitali Udaya Shetty thanked the gathering.
