Bengaluru, May 18: Senior advocate, Prabhuling Navadgi, has been appointed as new advocate general of Karnataka state.

His appointment was necessitated by the resignation of previous advocate general, Madhusudan R Naik, to the post.

After assuming charge as the chief minister of the state on Thursday, Yeddyuyrappa had recommended to the governor on this appointment and the Governor issued an order making this appointment as recommended.
