Losing candidates handover 7 'EVM hackers’ to Mysuru police

Daijiworld Media Network - Mysuru (RJP)

Mysuru, May 17: Some defeated candidates brought a group of seven people for the police to arrest, alleging that this group had managed to hack the EVMs in the recently concluded Assembly polls.

The incident took place at Narasimha Raja (NR) police station on Wednesday late night.

A large number of people gathered in front of the police station at 11 pm.

City Police Commissioner A Rao said that some candidates of NR, Chamaraja and KR Constituencies, who lost the recent polls, alleged that the seven people they handed over to the police had managed to hack EVMs.

The defeated candidates said that the group of seven had approached them prior to the elections offering to hack the EVMs for them. But they had sent the unscrupulous group away without accepting their offer.

The defeated candidates alleged that they had lost solely because this group had hacked EVMs for the contestants who won.

Rao confirmed that the police did not register any case in this connection and no one was taken into custody.

Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar stated that it was not possible to hack the EVMS.

2.No bluetooth, wifi no USB ports...
    3. Similar Machines are not available in the market..
    4. All the Machines are under election commission...
    5. Nobody knows which selection button is programmed to which candidate...
Then how is it possible to hack the machines ?

Billu you are real Bollu. Looks like your brains are displaced. Even BJP Swamy clearly declared EVM's as the worst electronic devise used for election. It is only used in Nigeria and in one South American country. This unit can be modified, altered and can be controlled even using a cell phone. The best part is, the result within this machine can be modified the way BJP wants even after the election booth is closed and just before getting the results, because there is no paper trail nor audit trail of alteration.

A very close friend of mine works for world renowned Electronic Voting System in Canada and that company approached our corrupt BJP Govt. to sell their technology. The first question asked by our nefarious Election commissioner was that the company should handover the source code, and only then they will look at the Technology. Also they insisted that they do not want ballot paper based election system!

Today, our country is governed by Murderers, Rapists and highly corrupt scoundrels. You will realize the result sooner than you think.

Agreed and appreciate about your knowledge about technology ; but you are missing the point.
Even AAP MLA "Saurabh Bharadwaj' (a software engineer himself) showed a demo of EVM tampering possibility in parliament ..
despite all this, vigilant Indians, somewhere somebody somehow will definitely expose if the EVM's are really tampered.
We may not believe in BJP or Congress, but we should definitely belive in India , Indians and the institutions like election commission.

People seems to be so partisan in their comments. It can be tampered before using it but quite impossible to hack it on net. Secondly, I think most people who commented in this group have never attended the election as officials. Before the start of election a voting is done in presence of the polling agents of all the political parties. After mock polling all polling agents and presiding officer of that particular polling booth put their signatures and EVM are sealed in presence ofall the agents.
So those who never attended the duties as polling personnel do speak this all rubbish. The EVMS are opened on counting day after checking the seal on the EVM machine in presence of counting agents. So stop ridiculing the EVM just for the sake of political leanings. Don't fool people in general.

You don't need to be a engineer or expert to know that EVM is not tamper proof.Open the below link and know yourself how the machine was programmed in favor of BJP .Listen to the electoral officer's warning to the press by saying "IF YOU SHOW THIS IN THE PRESS I WILL MAKE YOU TO SIT IN JAIL".Yet the Election Commission says it is tamper proof. Jai Hind.

Better to countermand the election because most of the wins by the ruling BJP party may be perhaps by tampering EVMs.Indian democracy is surely going to dogs if these voting machines tampering is not stopped.

Say No to EVM'S. Democracy will be restored. The Will of people will Prevail.

All well meaning Indians especially RICH NRI's should initiate a Big Reward for information leading to the unravelling of the CONSPIRACY of Tampering with the EVM's for all the elections held in India since the General Elections in 2014.

The way America flushes out Terrorists from across the world with such Big Rewards.

So, you are expecting that the police should simply arrest those guys just because the “losing” candidates claim that they lost due to EVM hacking?? Who cares for evidence, Right?

For how long will you keep this “nautanki” of EVM hacking alive? Not even a single soul came forward when EC offered the sceptics to actually hack it. And that AAP MLA dude takes a toy EVM for hacking and claims that this is his “proof”.

Even if for argument sake I accept that the EVM is hacked by the BJP, don’t you think they surely have the smartest guys in the world. Four years in power at the centre, wining state after state across India and yet no single credible evidence of hacking. WoW, simply WOW. The mastermind behind this hacking truly deserves a Nobel prize in physics, maths and criminology for pulling off such a gigantic scheme without ever being caught.

    Oh, really?

No shred of evidence and you have already concluded that the “Trained EVM hackers” are from the BJP?

And you honestly believe that if they were trained by the BJP, they would simply be going around offering their services to everyone and the sundry?

So, which one of the following is true:
    - Is the BJP so smart that they manage to hack the EVMs without ever being caught? or
    - Is the BJP so dumb that they would train people to hack EVMS and then let them free to offer their services on a free-lance basis to the highest bidder?
Both cannot be true as they are mutually exclusive.
